of Capt. Daniel Geale, Royal Navy. Armorial bearings
— He bears for Arms : Quarterly, 1 and 4, argent, on a
bend gules, between two cinquefoils sable, three escar-
buncles or (for Thornton) ; 2 and 3, argent, on a chevron
between three fox's heads erased gules, a mullet or (for Todd).
Upon the escutcheon is placed a helmet befitting his
