Barrister-at-Law, purchased from Lord Holland tiie rectory,
manor, and estate of Thorpe Malsor in 1622. His grandson,
Robert Maunsell, of Thorpe Malsor, in. Judith, dau. of
Thomas Brook, Esq. of Great Oakley, but had no issue. By
hiswil, dated 1704, he left his estate of Thorpe Malsor to
hi3 nephew, Robert Maunsell, with remainder to his cousia
Thomas.

II. Richard, d.s.p. 1631.

III. Thomas, who went to Ireland in 1609, and settled at
Derryvolane, co. Cork. He m. Alphra, dau. of Sir William i
Crawford, and dying about 1642, left, with other issue, \
Thomas, ancestor of the Maunsells of Limerick, and a son, ,

John, of the Middle Temple, afterwards Capt. in Crom- \
well's Life Guards, and was wounded severely at the battle I
of Naseby. He obtained large grants of land in the cos. i
of Limerick and Waterlurd, under the Act of Settlement. '
He was High Sheriff for co. Limerick 1671. He m. 165i), '
