Among tlie qualified voters of Plympton in 1708-9 is mentioned
John Tilson. He died Dec. 12, 1717-8. His will was proved May
2, 1718. A division of his estate was made Dec. 24, 1736. The
document reads: Province of Massachusetts Bay. He willed lands
at Double Brook or Tilson Cove to his son Jonathan. My conclusion
is he lived on the neck in Plympton on the road to Middleborough.
Yery likely at Ellis Pond, South Carver, Mass., which was a part of
Plympton until 1790. His widow, Lydia Tilson, was living in 1736.
