Rev. Dwight makes his first wife's name Mehitable, and d. in
Atwater, 1855, aged 91. He removed to Durham, IST. Y., in the

great emigration from Old to New Durham : he was Deacon there.
He m. 2'"^' according to the " AVard Family Genealog}'," vSally, dau.
John Ward, of Middletield Parish, Middlefiekl, Conn., b. Nov. 3,
1798, who d. Aug. 27, 1827, leaving no issue. He removed with
his brother Aaron, in 1816, to Atwater, Portage county, Ohio,
where he d. J uly, 1843. He was, says Rev. Dwight, an earnest,
warm-hearted Christian, and his wife a mother in Israel. His
children were :

ville. Ohio. She d. in 1875. aged 87; ho soou after, during the same year. Chil-

840. Sylvester, b. 1792; he settled in Hudson, Summit county, Ohio. He m.
Julia Ann Lord, of Saybrook, Conn. In 1868, he writes me that all his sons and
daus. are dead, except one, a musician in the Confederate army, Avhose father
hopes he has killed none of his opponents. This s. in 1851, and in 1877. lived in
Alabama. Sylvester is Deacon. In 1877, he lives in Hudson, aged 85; his wife
aged 83.

841. Patty, b. 1794; m. Obed Dibble, brother of John, and removed to Kings-
ville, Ohio ; she had several cli. He d. in 1876.

8, 1831, of Durham, N. Y., and dau. Ellen Catharine, 1864. (8) Nancy Elizabeth,
Dec. 3, 1833, m. Joshua G. Borthwick, of Durham, N. Y., and had ch. : John
Franklin, 1861; Lucy Emma, 1869. (9) Emily Strong, Nov. 16, 1838, m. Alanson
Camp Cowles, a lawyer, of Durham, N. Y., and had ch. : Anna Catharine, 1862;

359. ABIEL ^ Abiel * Ezra,^ b. in Durham, Conn., Aug. 28, 1762 ;
removed, says Rev. William C. Fowler, in his "History of Dur-
ham, Conn., to Durham, N. Y., and had eight children, of whom
six appear in the Probate Record of Middletown, Conn., under
the will of their grandfather, proved Aug. 30, 1802. He d. April
30, 1847. He m. Eunice Coe, who d. April, 1847, aged 85. He
was in the Revolutionary war and drew a pension.

852. Simeon Coe, b.[Oct. 2, 1784; m. Sarah Peck, dau. Harvey; d. aged 75. No
issue.

Captain of Militia in 1812, under orders, and afterward Major of
his regiment.

in Durham, in 1878. He d. Oct. 4, 1856.

887. Alanson Baldwin (Reverend), b. Sept. 20, 1797; d. at Schenectady, N.Y.,
April 11, 1853. He m., Oct. 12, 1829, Anna C. Koitz, b. at Saugerties, April 14,
1799, and d. there, Dec. 7, 1876; she was dau. .James and Anotine Brock Koitz.
He graduated at Union College in 1826, at Auliurn Theological Seminary in 1829,
