* Commanded the first company of soldiers that were sent from the Province of Massachusetts into
Queen Anne's immediate service in the I^eeward Islands. Capt. John Walton was appointed Lieut.-
Govt, of all the Virgin Leeward Islands by Col. Daniel Parke on 11 Sept. 1707.
