John Bayard, (1738-1807), served as chairman of the Com-
mittee of Inspection for Philadelphia County. He was colo-
nel at the battles of Brandywine, Germantown and Princeton,

1777 he was appointed member of the Board of War; was
elected speaker of the Assembly and, 1781, a member of the
Supreme Executive Council. He was born in Cecil Co., Md. ;
removed to Pennsylvania, 1756; died in New Brunswick, N. J.

Navy, vokmteered to aid the Colonies in the Revokition. For
fifty years he served his country in the Navy. He was born
in London, England ; died in Washington, D. C.

Edward Spaulding was placed on the pension roll of Cayuga
Co., N. Y., 1818, for three years' actual service as private in
the New Hampshire militia, 1781-84. He was born 1765.

and Col. Abner Perry. He was born in Sherborn ; died in
Cumington, Mass.

in Brook-field, Mass. ; died in Woodstock, Vt.

New York militia and subsequently served as corporal and
ensign. He was born in Freehold, N. J. ; died in Saratoga
Co., N. Y.
