ment, and subsequently served as lieutenant in the battle of
White Plains. He was born, 1741, in Watertown, Mass.

lature; was the last survivor of the original members of the
United States Senate and for several years the oldest gradu-
ate of Harvard. He was born in Amesbury, Mass. ; died in
