Navigator Islands (and Deputy Commissioner and
Special Judicial Commissioner for the W. Pacific)
1897-1900, at Bilbao 1900 and at Reuuion 1900-12,
and March -Aug. 1913, and Consul-Gen. at Valparaiso,
Chile, 1912-March 1913; appointed Consul-Gen. for

Governor of Pretoria ; Staff Officer to the Inspector-
Gen, of the Forces 1904-7; Gen. Staff Officer Mediter-
