late Rev. David James Drakeford, M.A., of Brookside,
Sussex, and The Elms, Sydenham. Sir Walter Bed-
ford, who was educated at St. Bartholomew's Hospital
and at Durham Univ. (M.B. 1880, M.R.C.S. 1880), is
a Major-Gen. ret., late A.M.S. ; was Deputy Assistant
Director, A.M.S., War Office, 1 894-9 ; Staff Officer to
Principal Medical Officer in S. Africa 1899-1901 ;
Principal Medical Officer Hong Kong 1908-11 and
