But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another :

AVhen Jesus came into the coasts of Ctesarea Philippi, he
asked his disciples, saying. Whom do men say that I the Son of
man am ? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Bap-

He saith unto them. But whom say ye that I am ?

And Simon Peter answered and said. Thou art tl)C Cl)rist,

And some of the Pharisees from among the muUitude said
unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said
unto them, I tell you, that if these should hold their peace, the
stones would immediately cry out.

And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to
Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,
saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straight-
way ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her : loose them, and
bring them unto me. And if any man say aught unto you, ye
shall say, The Lord hath need of them ; and straightway he will
send them.

All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken
by the prophet, saying, Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy
King Cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt
the foal of an ass. And the disciples went, and did as Jesus com-
manded them, and brought the ass and the colt, and put on them
their clothes, and they set him thereon. And a very great multi-
tude spread their garments in the way ; others cut down branches
from the trees, and strawed them in the way. And the multitudes
that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the
Son of David : Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord :
Hosanna in the hisfhest.

And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved,
saying. Who is this ? And the multitude said, This is Jesus the
prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

And they come again to Jerusalem : and as he w\ns walking in
the temple there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and
the elders, and say unto him, By what authority doest thou these
things ? and who gave thee this authority to do these things ? And
Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one
question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I
do these things. The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of
men ? answer me. And they reasoned with themselves, saying,
If we shall say, From heaven ; he will say, AVhy then did ye not

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were

took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom
tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was
a cry made. Behold, the bridegroom coineth ; go ye out to meet
him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And
the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil ; for our lamps
are gone out. But the wise answered, saying. Not so ; lest there
be not enough for us and you : but go ye rather to them that sell,
and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bride-
groom came ; and they that were ready, went in with him to the
marriage : and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other
virgins, saying. Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said,
