WARRANT FOR TOWN MEETING

THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

To the Inhabitants of the Town of Freedom, N. H., in
the County of Carroll, in said State, qualified to
vote in town affairs:

You are hereby notified to meet at the Town Hall in
said town on Tuesday, the 12th day of March, next at
nine of the clock in the forenoon, to act upon the fol-
lowing subjects:

1. To choose all necessary town officers for the year
ensuing.

2. To raise such sums of money as may be neces-
sary to defray town charges for the ensuing year and
make appropriations of the same.

3. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum of
twenty eight hundred dollars to defray town charges
consisting of town officers' salaries, town officers' ex-
penses election and registration, town hall expenses
and appropriate money for the same.

4. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum of
four hundred dollars for heating expenses of the town
hall and appropriate money for the same.

5. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum
of three hundred dollars for use of hydrants and ap-
propriate money for the same.

6. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum of
seven hundred and seventy-five dollars for street lights
and appropriate money for the same.

7. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum of

four hundred dollars for cutting bushes and appropri-
ate money for the same.

8. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum
of fourteen hundred dollars for general expenses of
highway department and appropriate money for the
same.

9. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum of
one hundred and four dollars for Public Library and
appropriate money for the same.

10. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum of
eight hundred dollars for sanding winter roads and
appropriate money for the same.

11. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum of
thirty-five hundred dollars for plowing winter roads
and appropriate money for the same.

12. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum
of five hundred and thirty-nine dollars and twenty
cents for class five roads and appropriate money for
the same.

13. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum of
one hundred and fifty dollars for putting up snow
fence and appropriate money for the same.

14. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum
of two hundred dollars for bridges and appropriate
money for the same.

15. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum
of two hundred dollars for town needy and appropriate
money for the same.

16. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum of

five hundred and fifty dollars for insurance and appro-
priate money for the same.

17. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum
of two thousand dollars for old age assistance and ap-
propriate money for the same.

18. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum
of one hundred twenty-five dollars to help defray the
expenses of Old Home Week Celebration for August,
1957 and appropriate money for the same.

19. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum
of three thousand dollars for summer highways and
appropriate money for the same.

20. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum of
three hundred dollars for fire department maintenance
and appropriate money for the same.

21. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum
of eight hundred dollars to patch West Ossipee road
and appropriate money for the same.

22. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum
of two hundred dollars for maintaining the town dump
and appropriate money for the same.

23. To see if the town will vote to use the revenue
from 1956 Severance Tax to cover overage on winter
highways.

24. To see if the town will vote to petition the State
Tax Commission to have an audit made by the Divi-
sion of Municipal Accounting, and to make an appro-
priation to cover the expenses of such audit.

25. To see if the town will authorize the selectmen
to hire money in anticipation of taxes.

26. To see if the town will vote to raise and appro-
priate the sum of eighty-six dollars and twenty-six
cents, which is 1/100 of 1% of the assessed valuation
of the town: to the Lakes Region Association for the
purpose of publicizing and promoting the natural ad-
vantages and resources for the town, in cooperation
with other towns in the Lakes Region.

27. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum
of two hundred dollars for Social Security and appro-
priate money for the same.

28. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum of
four hundred and twenty-five dollars for interest on
long term notes and short term notes and appropriate
money for the same.

29. To see if the town will vote to raise the sum of
two thousand dollars to be applied on the long term
note taken out for the Effingham Falls Bridge and ap-
propriate money for the same,

30. To see if the town will vote a donation to Hug-
gins Hospital and if to appropriate money for the same.

31. To transact any other business that may legally
come before this meeting.

NOTE : Since this copy of the Town Warrant is re-
quired by the printer at an earlier date than the legal
Town Warrant posting date, it is not necessarily com-
plete, and therefore, the Posted Warrant may contain
additional articles which are not included in this
publication.
