STATE PAPERS, DOMESTIC, ELIZABETH, Vol. 48, No. 47.+

Petition of the strangers of the French Church to Queen Elizabeth. [1562 or 1563.]

alia via libera hie habitations frui, artesque suas exercere lieeret. Neutrum hactenus, quanuis
importunis precibus et assidua flagitatione, impetrare potuerunt ; forsitan quia regni et ciuitatis

* Tanneken Gitteyns (?) is struck out here.

inaccuracies, assigns it to an earlier date.

confugiunt, vt ipsorum misereri ijsque auxiliarem manum prsebere velis. Hoe igitur vnum abs
conditione visum fuerit maiestati tuae ; ne post diuturnam expectationem multis laboribus frus-
