N^v^^g^lW? \ GRAND LODGE OF ILLINOIS, I.O.O.F. 175
Conclusion.
We desire to acknowledge the hearty co-operation of the Grand
Lodge Officers, the great army of loyal and earnest Odd Fellows and
Rebekahs, and the Fraternal Press. Such support has strengthened
us in solving the problems and meeting any difficulties that seemed
to confront us. There are now more applications accepted than can
be admitted and cared for in our present building and we most re-
spectfully invite the wisdom of the Grand Lodge in solving this
difficulty, knowing you will consider it in Friendship, Love and
Truth, and in that light do what seemeth best.
The Home stands as a glorious monument to benevolence.
Its future is in your hands.
Fraternally submitted,
John W. Yantis.

REPORT OF GRAND SECRETARY.
To the Officers and Members of the Grand Lodge of Illinois, I.O.O.F.:
Dear Bkothebs: Odd Fellowship iu Illinois never was in better
condition than at the present time. Most of our Lodges are active
•not only in the matter of increasing their membership and finances
â– but in the fulfillment of the great mission of Odd Fellowship, viz: "To
•visit the sick, relieve the distressed, to bury the dead and educate the
"orphan."
We have at the present time a Subordinate Lodge membership of
over eighty thousand and in less than five years should easily pass the
dne hundred thousand mark.
It is noteworthy that all branches of Odd Fellowship are prosper-
ous and we have reason to believe that the principles of our Order will
encircle the globe and our ranks be numbered in the millions.
The grandeur of our fraternity is being proclaimed through homes
for the orphan and the aged, through our beneficences and kindly
•ministrations. We are known by our works and no other organization
Stands so closely to the heart of the people as the Independent Order
tof Odd Fellows.
Abstract of Lodge Reports,
The following is a summary of returns from Subordinate Lodges.
March 31, 1907, and of the Rebekah Lodges, December 31, 1906.
The net gain in membership for the past year has been 4,364 in
the Subordinate and 2,596 in the Rebekah Lodges.
The figures show another year of splendid work and growth.
The net gain in Subordinate Lodge members is little less than
last year while the gain in Rebekah membership is much larger.
The only logical inference being that Odd Fellowship in Illinois is
progressive.
