This interesting portrait oj the great Chief Justice is no doubt the
production oj the celebrated Patience Wright, who Hkeunse modelled the
portrait oj Washington and other noted men in wax. This was jormerly
the property oj Hon. Benj. Harris Brewster, Attorneys-General oj the
United Slates, and hung jor many years in his law office. It was pur-
chased at the sale oj his effects, by Chiej Justice Mitchell.
