farmer in Turin. She united with the Baptist Church of
Turin, and during nearly a half-century gave reliable
evidence of the gracious power of Christ's religion to
uphold, strengthen, and comfort amid all the exigencies
of life, and " witnessing a good profession before many
witnesses." She was among the first born in Lewis Co.,
reared and educated amid the experiences of early
pioneer life. Some ten years since the partner of her
life " Fell asleep in Jesus." Yet through these years of
widowhood she realized in goodly measure the faithful
and unfailing goodness and mercy of lier Lord and
Saviour, the fellowship and communion between the dis-
ciple and her master growing more full even to the last.
And the Lord came and received her unto himself.
" And the mourners go about the streets." Mr. Homer
