Ralph E. Tenney, born in HolUs, N. H., 23 Sept., 1849, son of
WilUam N. and Mary E. (Perkins) ; married in Hollis, 29 Oct., 1873,
Sallie Ann Cutter, who was born in HolUs, N. H., 25 Aug., 1849.

He resides at the old j)icturesque homestead. The house was
built in 1747 by William Tenney IV, and is approached by a lane
leading from the highway. Hon. William Tenney occupied it from

E. Tenney, 1806 to 1854; WilUam N. Tenney, 1854 to 1874;
Ralph E. Tenney, 2d, 1874 to the present date (1891). A reunion
of this branch of the Tenney family was an interesting event to the
favored forty-four who recently sat down to a dinner, followed by a
reception on Maple Lawn. The small multitude from the East and
West were received by Mr. Tenney and his hospitable wife, aided
by neighbors and friends. The meeting, full of interesting reminis-
cences and perfect success, closed by singing the doxology. Chil-
