RESOLVE OF LEGISLATURE



IN RELATION TO THE EARLY YORK DEEDS.



Resolved, That the Maine Genealoijical Society, aoTeein<>-
to supervise the copyiiia-, iittestiiii>-, editiiii:-, indexiiia- and
publishing of volumes t\V(dve and thirteen of the public
records of this State in the; office of the register of deeds for
York county, in tlu; same manner as the eleven preceding-
volumes alread}' published, except that, on account of their
increased size, they are not recjuired to be leaded, nor to
have the tabular index, the governor and council shall jjur-
cliase for the State four hundred and fifty copies of each
volume at five dollars i)er volume ; and the State librarian
shall cause one copy of each volume to be placed in each
registry of deeds in this State ; the remaining copies to he
distributed or exchanged at the discretion of said libi-arian.

Leavitt by a Deed of Sale under the Hand and S(nil of the
s'l John Kackliff and Joanna his Wife bearing Date
the eleventh Day of January Anno Domini 1725 | H in (V)n-
sideration of ninety Pounds in good Public Bills of Credit
to him in Hand well and truly paid by Joseph Leavitt of s'^'

or Parcel of them belonging or in any W'ise appertaining
only two Acres of Land adjoyning to the s** Creek with the
Priviledge to make Use of the s"' Creek excepted & reserv-
ed to the Use of the s'' Jordan & his Heirs for ever All
which Land lying & being within the Town of Falmouth in
the County of York To have and to hold all the Premisses
beforegranted unto the s'' Thomas Sanford & Robert San-
ford their Heirs & Assigns against him the s'' Jordan his
