Roosevelt

County



Compared with other Montana counties, one of the most important and unique
characteristics of Roosevelt County is that it's home to the Fort Peck Indian Reservation,
the third largest Indian Reservation in Montana with a population of 6,391 (18 percent of
Montana's Indian Reservation population) out of the county's population of 10,451,
according to the U.S. Bureau of the Census, 2000. Information in the Count of Persons by
