To the Senaie and General Assembly of the State oj New Jersey :
The Joint Committee of the Legislature on Treasurer's Accounts,
having examined the accounts and securities of the State, found them
correct.
The securities of the several funds of the State, including the Sinking
Fund account, have been examined, accounted for and are in the posses-
sion of the Treasurer,
The Committee congratulates the State of New Jersey upon the condi-
tion of the State finances, also for the business-like manner in which the
Treasurer and his efficient clerical force have conducted the business of
the office.

To the Honorable the Legislature of New Jersey :
The Joint Committee on Treasurer's Accounts, having made the usual
annual examination of the securities and accounts of this office, and
approved and audited the same, I herewith present, as required by law, a
general balance sheet of the books and detailed statements of the trans-
actions of this office for the fiscal year ending October 31st, 1895, showing
the condition of the several funds in charge of the Treasurer on that date,
with the balances in bank, and itemized statements of receipts and
expenditures of each fund during the year.
For a summary of these various items I beg leave to refer to my report
as made to the Governor and hereto annexed.
