valley from the head of the St. Francis Basin near Cape Girardeau, Mo., to the Gulf of
Mexico, La., scale 1 : 500.000 and 1 : 250,000. Topographic Quadrangle maps in colors,
scale 1 : 62.500 of the alluvial valley of the lower Mississippi River are also published by
the Mississippi River Commission : the topographic quadrangle maps comprise 210 sheets
