Archbishop of Canterbury, July 30, 168 1, for ordination on the
plea that he was 'M.A. of Christ's, and over 24 years of age';
which is not true. The probable facts are that he was a son
of Dr Ralph Cudworth, Master of Christ's; that he was, as
above, of Trinity; and that he went to India in 1683, and
