least some of the following perso7is were no doubt

[Most of the Burials are of ineinbers of the family of
Rich. Bulstrode, esq., proprietor of Hounslow Chapel].
Marriages at Stanwell,
1632 to 1812.
Note. ā Poyle, West Bedfont and a portion of Colnbrook form part of this
parish. This register is an interesting one. Extracts from the Colnbrook
register will appear in the Buckinghamshire series. It is not the purpose
of this work to notice baptismal or burial entries, but one or two are
shown occasionally for the sake of reference.
Vol. I. The entries are somewhat difficult to classify. They are mixed
and are not in chronological order, and they are interrupted by entries in
the next two volumes. This volume contains Baptisms, 1632 to 1658
and 1706 to 1728 ; Marriages and Publications, 1632 to 1658 and 1708 to
1727 ; Burials, 1632 to 1658 and 1706 to 1728 ; a note of children of this
parish christened at " Colebrooke chappell," 162 1 to 1637 ! ^ list of vicars
[not complete] from 1632 to 1893 and a large number of briefs, Parch-
ment in fairly good preservation but slightly nibbled. Measures 14I in.
by 7I in. Bound in stiffened vellum.
Vol. II. Here again the entries are mixed, the marriages commencing in
the middle of the book and continuing from the beginning and after-
wards from the end of the register. It contains Baptisms, Marriages and
Burials 1656 to 1695. Parchment, bound in stiffened vellum and fastened
with two clasps. Measures 12 in. by 8|^in. In fairly good condition.
Vol. III. Marriages, 1695 to 1754 ; Baptisms, 1695 to 1787 ; Burials, 1695
to 1788. Parchment, bound in sheepskin. Measures 13 in. by 10 in. It
has probably been repaired and the covers seem to be modern.
Vol. IV. The usual book of printed paper forms, banns over marriages,
1755 to 1812. It was permissible to suspend registering the banns until
