chusetts, September 1, 1886.

Joseph Behrman, his father, born in Memel, Germany, in 1852,
is a collector and lives in Worcester. Mrs. Behrman was Zelda
Feingold.

Behrman prepared for Yale at the Classical High School of
Worcester. He took a Philosophical Oration appointment, and
is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In Freshman year he roomed
with Mungall in 218 Farnam ; in Sophomore year with Mungall
in 221 Farnam; in Junior and Senior years with Oberhelman in
218 Farnam.

David Bellamy was born in Boston, Massachusetts, October

Francis Bellamy, his father, born in Rome, New York, in
[855, and a graduate of Rochester University in 1878, is engaged
in advertising for Everybody's Magazine. Mrs. Bellamy was
Harriet Benton. Bellamy has had two cousins at Yale, R. B.
Hull. 1907, and F. W. Bellamy, 1909.

Bellamy prepared for Yale at the Horace Mann School, in
New York City. He took a Second Dispute appointment. He
was awarded the Thomas DeWitt Cuyler Alumni Weekly prize.
He heeled the business managership of the Lit. in Sophomore
year and was coxswain on the first class crew in Junior year.

Hildreth Benner was born in Montclair, New Jersey, June
13, 1888.

Willis Benner, his father, born in Astoria (Long Island), New
York, in 1858, and a graduate of Yale in 1880, is a lawyer and
lives in South Orange, New Jersey. Mrs. Benner, who was
Caroline Charlotte McElroy, died at Summit, New Jersey, in
1889. Besides his father, Benner's Yale relatives are: Robert
Benner, 1842, Charles Benner, 1878, W. M. Crane, 1904. E. W.
Benner, 1910 S.

Benner prepared for Yale at the Taft School. He took a First
Colloquy appointment. He has played baseball, hockey and
tennis, has been active in the Oak Street Boys' Club and was

Charles Raymond Bentley was born in Rochester, New
York, November 24, 1889.

Sardius DeLancey Bentley, his father, born in Lakewood, New
Jersey, in 1843, and a graduate of Rochester University in 1870,
practices law in Rochester. Airs. Bentley was Alartha Burr
Cogswell. Bentley has had a brother at Yale, Cogswell Bentley,
1900.

Bentley prepared for Yale at the East High School. Rochester,
Xew York. He took a Philosophical Oration appointment: was
awarded a Berkeley Premium and the Scott Prize in French, and
was given the Runk and Lord Scholarships. He sang on his
Freshman glee club and played on his Freshman hockey team
and has since played on class hockey teams. He is a member of
Phi Beta Kappa. Delta Kappa Epsilon. In Freshman year he

Horace Paul Bestor was born in Clearfield, Iowa, September
27, 1882.

John G. Bestor, his father, born in Suffield, Connecticut, in
1852, is a farmer and lives in Shannon City, Iowa. Mrs. Bestor
was Jennie C. Everman.

Bestor prepared for college at the New Windsor, Illinois, High
School and the Shannon City, Iowa, High School. He graduated
in 1909 from Tarkio College, Missouri, and joined the class of
1910 at Yale at the beginning of Senior year. He roomed alone
at 112 Huntington Street.

Bestor expects to be a teacher. His permanent address is

Francis Exley Bickley was born in Painted Post, New York,
October i8, 1886.

Francis Daniel Tull Bickley, bis father, born in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania, in 1854. and a graduate of Drew Theological Sem-
inary in 1876, is a geological engineer. Mrs. Bickley was Eliza-
beth Huckal. Bickley has had one relative at Yale, Willis Parker,
1891, M.A, 1909.

Bickley prepared for college at the Friends' School and the
Herbert and Marshall Boys' Grammar School in Philadelphia, and
the Marietta High School. He graduated from Marietta College
in [908, and entered the class of 1910 at Yale at the beginning of
Senior year. He contributed to the Record, has participated in
( rym. work, swimming, tennis and track, as well as playing on
the second soccer team. He has been active in Yale Hall and
Bible groups. He roomed alone in 419 Berkeley.

Percy Wells Bidwell was born in South Manchester, Con-
necticut, July 19, 1888.

James C. Bidwell, his father, born in South Manchester in 1859,
is superintendent in the silk factory of Cheney Brothers, in the
same town. Mrs. Bidwell was Clara Jane Woodbridge.

Bidwell prepared for Yale at the South Manchester High
School. He took a Philosophical Oration appointment and is a
member of Phi Beta Kappa. He was awarded the Donald Annis
Prize in German and English and the Scott Prize in German.
He sang on his Freshman glee club and on the College choir.
In Freshman year he roomed with L. L. Barber at 159 York

Leonard Cutter Bigelow was born in Framingham, Massa-
chusetts, October 6, 1888.

Enos Hoyt Bigelow, his father, born in Framingham in 1855,
and a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1875 and
M.D. Harvard 1882, is a physician and lives in Framingham.
Mrs. Bigelow was Agnes Elizabeth Cutter.

Bigelow prepared for Yale at Lawrenceville. He took a High
Oration appointment and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He
has been active in Yale Hall and has collected for Yale in China
and was vice-president of the Freshman Union. Beta Theta Pi.
In Freshman year he roomed with Bean in 584 Pierson ; in Soph-
omore year with Davis, Menderson, Peter, McCord and Bean

Henry Payne Bingham was born in Cleveland, Ohio, Decem-
ber 9, 1887.

Charles W. Bingham, his father, born in Cleveland in 1846,
and a graduate of Yale in 1868, is engaged in business in Cleve-
land. Mrs. Bingham, who was Mary Payne, died in 1898.
Besides his father, Bingham has the following Yale relatives :
O. H. Payne, 1863, and W. Payne, 1867, nncles ; H. P. Whitney,
1894, Payne Whitney, 1898, and C. A. Brayton, Jr., 1899, cousins.

Bingham prepared for Yale at the Taft School. He took a

George Bleistein, |k.. was born in Buffalo, New York, June

5. 1887.

George Bleistein, his father, born in Buffalo in 1861, is engaged
in the Courier Lithograph Company, in Buffalo. Mrs. Bleistein
was Elizabeth Green Wells.

Bleistein prepared for Yale at the Hill School. He was on his
Freshman track team and on the 1910 class baseball team: he
sang on his Freshman glee club, sang three years on the College
choir and was a member of the Yale orchestra. He contributed
to the Record and was on the Dwight Hall Reception committee.
He is a member of the University and Yacht clubs. Zeta Psi.

His father, George S. Bliss, born in Grinnell, Iowa, in 1859,
died in 1890. Mrs. Bliss was Lilla L. Snell.

Oration appointment. He has played on the 19 10 class and
'Varsity tennis teams. Alpha Delta Phi. In Freshman year he

John deKoven Bowen was born in Chicago, Illinois, June 16,
1887.

Joseph Tilton Bowen, his father, born in Providence, Rhode
Island, in 1857, lives in Chicago. Mrs. Bowen was Louise
deKoven. Bowen has had three cousins at Yale: J. W. Alsop,
1898 S., J. deK. Alsop, 1902, F. J. O. Alsop, 1903.

Thomas Wilson Bowers was born in Winona, Minnesota,
August 18, 1888.

Lloyd Wheaton Bowers, his father, born in Springfield, Massa-
chusetts, in 1859, and a graduate of Yale in 1879, is a lawyer
and lives in Washington, District of Columbia. He was
appointed Solicitor General of the United States in 1909. Mrs.
Bowers, who was Louise Wilson, died in Chicago, Illinois, in
1897. Besides his father, Bowers' Yale relations are three
cousins: W. C. Bowers, 1874, E. A. Bowers, 1870. and A. E.
Bowers, 1883.

Bowers prepared for Yale at the Westminster School. He

Frank Silver Brainard was born in New York City, April 3,
1887.

Frank Brainard, his father, born in Salem, Ohio, in 185 1, is a
wholesale pork merchant, in the firm of Brainard Brothers, and
lives in New York City. Airs. Brainard was Esther Ida Silver.
Brainard had a brother at Yale. W. W. Brainard, 1904.

City. He has rowed through his whole course, being on his
Freshman crew and winning his "Y" on the University crew.

Harold Brewster Bretz was born in Brooklyn, New York,
January 6, 1889.

His father, George Brewster Bretz, born in Brooklyn in 1859,
and a graduate of the Columbia Law School, was a lawyer and
real estate dealer. He died at Westhampton Beach (Long-
Island), New York, in July, 1909. Mrs. Bretz was Margaret
Ellen Briggs.

Bretz prepared for Yale at the Polytechnic Preparatory School
and the Brooklyn Latin School. He has played tennis and
basketball, playing on the 19 10 Freshman and class basketball
teams and the Freshman, class and University tennis teams. He
also won a men's doubles prize in the Fall Tennis Tournament
in 1908. Alpha Delta Phi. Throughout his entire course he has
roomed with Hopkins: in Freshman year at 1071 Chapel Street;

Floyd Clinton Brewer was born in Arcadia, Louisiana,
August 30, 1886.

John A. Brewer, his father, born in Arcadia, in 1850. is a cot-
ton planter and breeder of turf horses and lives in Arcadia. Mrs.
Brewer was Annie Amelia Ivey.

Brewer prepared for college at the Arcadia High School. He
graduated from Lebanon University in 1907 and joined the class
of 1910 at Yale at the beginning of Junior'year. He has played

October 5, 1888.

Hubert Stanley Brown, bis father, born in Poundridge, New

1908, is a clergyman and lives in Darien, Connecticut. Mrs.
Brown was Emma Cornelia Hall.

born in Rye, New York, in 1849, is an attorney, residing in
Albuquerque. Mrs. Bryan was Susannah Patten.

Bryan prepared for college in the Preparatory Department of
the University of New Mexico, and at the Blair Academy, Blairs-
town, New Jersey. He joined the class at the beginning of
Senior year, coming from the University of New Mexico, where
he graduated in the class of 1909. During Senior year he has
roomed with F. R. Mason, 191 1, in 399 Berkeley.

Bryan expects to become a geologist, and will continue his
studies in the Yale Graduate School next year. His permanent

March 5, 1889.

Howard Williston Carter, his father, horn in Stockbridge,

Russell Cordis.

Erford Whitcomb Chesley was born in North Brookfleld,
Massachusetts, December 12, 1886.

His father, Roderick Erford Chesley, born in Manchester,
New Hampshire, in 1846, died in 1892. Mrs. Chesley was
Annetta Francelia Lamb.

Chesley prepared for college at the North Brookfield High
School. He graduated from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute
in 1908, joined the class of 1910 at Yale at the beginning of Junior
year. During both Junior and Senior years he roomed alone in
388 Berkeley.

Chesley's future occupation is undecided. His permanent
address is North Brookfield, Mass.
