Botcland and Hngli do Hauwyke to hear the pica in the
conrt at Hextildesham between Beatrice, who was wife of
William Waukelyn, seeking her dower, against Robert de
Skypton, elk., and John son of William Waukelyn and
^larjory, his wife, defendants.

acres of land and two acres of meadow in Aynewyke (Anick).

Writ to the bailiff of Hexham to command Robert de
Skypton and John, son of William Waukelyn, to restore to
Beatrice, who was wife of William Waukelyn, her dower in
licr husband's freehold in Halidene (Hallington).

A similar writ to command Robert del Syde and Agnes,

Thomas, son of Gamel of Clotherum to summon twelve jurors
from the neighbourhood {dc visneto) of Clothrom, to appear
before Sir Robert de Nonnewyk', Sir Geoffrey de Hewyk'
and John de Draycote, the archb.'s justices, to ascertain
whether Gamel de Clothrom, father of the said Thomas,
was seised in demesne as of fee of a bovate of land and half
a messuage in Clothrom on the day he died, and if he died
after Henry iii's coronation, and whether Thomas is his
next heir. Also to summon Richard, son of Gamel of
Clothrom, and William, and John, his brother, who held the
land and the half messuage, to be present. Commission to
the same to take an assize of mort d'anccstor arraigned by
Thomas, son of Gamel of Clothrom, against Richard, son of
Gamel of Clothrom and others, named in the original writ
about a bovate and half a messuage in Clothrum.
