1500. 7 kal. Oct. (Sept. 25), 1289. Lanum. Grant by Lincoln,
the archb. to the dean and chapter of Lincoln of a plot of
land in the parish of Holy Trinity in Wicford,i lying between

the land once belonging to William le Potter on the north,
and the land of John Cotty on the south, and reaching in
length from the churchyard of Holy Trinity on the west to
the king's ditch {fossaUim) on the east, which he had had of
the grant [ex donacione) of William, son of Adam de North-
folch, and Amabilis his wife ; and also of the land and
buildings which he had had of the grant {ex dono) of Robert
de Rosin of Lincoln in the parish of St. Mark in Wicford in
Lincoln, which lay near the land of Thomas son of Robert

Ripon. 1511- Agreement between Symon de Curte, proctor of

Master Clericus de Pisis, canon of Rypon',i and Master
Bartholomew de Ferentino, whereby the proctor let to farm
to Master Bartholomew, the prebend which had belonged to
Sir Percival (de Lavagna) in the church of Rypon', for a
term of five years from Easter then next, at a yearly rent
of sixty marks, the first term of payment being on the feast
of the Nativity of St, John the Baptist, 1292. The yearly
payments were to be made at the New Temple, London.
The fermor was to bear all ordinary burdens, the prebendary
all extraordinary. If at the end of the term the prebend
should be damaged by public war or common assault {per
guerram generalem vel publicum insuUum) the fermor should
only be bound to pay in so far as he had received from the
prebend. At the instance of the fermor the archb. became
