died at Washington, Pa.). He was a soldier in the American Revolu-
tion. The home of Robert and Jean (Thomson) Wylie, a substantial
building which is still standing, was erected on land patented under the
name of "Silver Springs" adjoining the borough of Washington, Pa.

D. Wolfe was a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College and
of the Associate Theological Seminary, Canonsburg, Pa. He was
licensed to preach in 1846, and served as a pastor for some time of a
church in New York City. Afterward he studied law and was ad-
mitted to practice at Monmouth, 111. He entered and left the Union
Army in the Civil War with the rank of Captain. He moved to
Pensacola in 1866 and practiced law and finally became editor of the
Pensacola Commercial. He was well known as a writer on economics.
