1. Express Companies. 2. Mails. 3. Sleeping, Parlor or Dining Car
Companies. 4. Freight or Transportation Companies or Lines. 5. Other
Railroad Companies. 6. Steamboat or Steamship Companies. 7. Tele-
graph Companies. 8. Telephone Companies. 9. Other Contracts.

1. Southern Express Company. The railroad allowed 40 per cent, of
through and 50 per cent of local business, inclusive of money packages and
specie.

2. United States Government. Postal pay $74,810.89 per annum.

3. Pullman Palace Car Company. Regular rates of $1.00 per day aod
$2.00 per night charged by Sleeping Car Co. Railroad does not participate
in profits, but pays 3 cents per mile for use of cars.

4. None.

5. This company has leased the St. Louis and Cairo Railroad, for a term
of 45 years from February 1, 1886, subject to certain conditions as to»
division of the gross earnings of both lines, net proportion accruing to the
8t. Louis and Cairo Railroad not to be less than $165,000 per annum.

The Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railroad Company has trackage
rights over this company's line between Union City, Tenn., and Colombos,
Ky., in consideration of payment of toll of $4.00 per car merchandise,
$3.00 per car coal, etc., and empty cars free.

"The East Tennessee, Virginia and Georgia Railroad (operated by the
Southern Railway Company,) has trackage rights between Meridian, Mi^t
and Lauderdale, Miss., in consideration of payment of 30 per cent, grow
revenue accruing to this part of the line.

6. None.

7. Western Union Telegraph Company. Right of way granted by rail-
road for certain telegraphic facilities for transaction of its -business by tel-
egraph company.
