STATE OF ALABAMA.

1. Express- Companies. 2. Mails. 3. Sleeping, Parlor or Dining Car
Companies. 4. Freight or Transportation Companies or Lines. 5^ Other
Railroad Companies. 6. Steamboat or Steamship Companies. 7. Tele-
graph Companies. 8. Telephone Companies. 9. Other Contracts.

1. Southern Express Company. Railroad company to furnish sufficient
room to accommodate all the express matter offered by the express com-
pany for transportation, and to receive forty-five per cent. {4b%) of the
total revenue collected by the express company. The express company to
assume all risks and damages to freight, etc. For transportation of gold or
silver bullion, the railroad company to receive tw9nty-five cents per 100
lbs. per 100 miles or fraction thereof, and on all money, other than gold or
silver, the express company shall retfein all money collected by them for
same. Length of contract, two years from date.

2. United States ]^Iail. The railroad company is paid for the weight of
