May 14, 1870, daughter of Ebenezer and Sarah (Jewell). He was
in Captain Neal's Co., Portsmouth, July 7, 1812, was in Privateer
Portsmouth in the 1812 War, was captured and confined a prisoner
in Halifax and Dartmoor one year and nine months. He repre-
sented Rye in the N. H. Legislature in 1837, was moderator in
1850, was called Captain, and lived a farmer near Locke's Neck.

ton in 1801. He was a farmer in Sandwich and Tamworth.

California 1849 and d. about 1850.

Frank Bean of Boston, who lived in Tamworth and then went
West. She m. 2nd, William Ames.

F2923 Joseph Locke, born in Rye in 1800, married in 1832,
Lucy Beede, born in 1810, who was alive in 1850. He was a
stage driver from Rye to Portsmouth, and in 1838-9 moved to
Charleston, Vt. In early forties they went to Mass., where she
worked in a factory. He went to the lumber camps as a trader,
and there disappeared.
