business circles, and was loved and honored by all. In 1871 he was
stricken with paralysis, which rendered him entirely helpless till his death,

Mrs. Charles Turner, in Norwood, Mass. Aug. ii, 1891, aged 100
years, 4 months, 26 days. Mr. Thurston was a large, stout, fine-look-
ing, proud and high-spirited man ; had black eyes and hair, and dark
complexion, like all his family save Johnson, who had light complex-
ion and blue eyes ; was a fine singer. A hand-cartman in Boston.

tled on a farm ; an officer of the militia., died May 2, 1877.*

in Sheldonville, Mass., died Sept. 14, 1845; she died Aug. 3, 1854;
both members of the Baptist church.
