with KPFK's Music Director, William
Malloch, about the music and personality
of the American composer. An excerpt
from the first recording of an Ives orches-
tral work made over thirty years ago un-
der Slonimsky's direction is included. Part
of a projected series. Following the con-
versation we hear William Strickland con-
ducting the Polish National Radio Or-
chestra in Charles Ives' the Robert Brown-
ing Overture.
