The place of the printing of this book is not fully established. The prefatory
leaves are obviously from a source which is not that of the book itself ; and it
may be noted that the initial C on the verso of the fourth leaf (sig. >J<iiij b) is of
a type used by Jean Petit at Paris in his edition of Despauterius Prima pars
Grammatice, 4 on F. Ixxx [M* . 10 . 44 1 (D)]. It may be of use to point out
that the initial T at in John i. is of the design used at Cologne in 1521 by
E. Cervicornus and H. Fuchs in Quintiliani Institutiones, F at F. xn b
[W.I. 25.]
