studying music before she was six years old, manifesting a very
unusual talent. In 1886 her parents removed to Chicago, 111., and
she became the pupil of Miss Amy Fay in 1887, who has been her
teacher ever since. At the age of thirteen she played with the
Theodore Thomas orchestra at Central Music Hall, Chicago. In
1891 her parents moved to N. Y. City, which has since been her
home. Her public apearances have been made in New York, Phila-
delphia, Albany, Cleveland and other cities.
