The engine, **Tyler Davidson,*' of this Company is a third-class Latta engine,
huilt by C. Ahrens & Co., of this city, and is a single reciprocating vertical
engine, 9 inches in diameter of cylinder and 8 inches stroke; double-acting
pomp, 5|4 inches in diameter, 8 inches stroke. When working at full capacity,
making 315 revolutions per minute, discharges 480 gallons of water, and raises
steam from cold water in 3^ minutes. It was placed in service November 15,
1877, and weighs 5,800 pounds. The Company is composed of the following

circulating water-tnbe boiler. The pumps are double acting, 4ji^-inch diameter
and 8-inch stroke; steam cylinders, 8-inch diameter and 8-inch stroke. When
working at full capacity discharges 700 gallons of water per minute, weighs 8,500
pounds, and was placed in service July 9, 1900. The Company is composed of
