Mount Sinai Training School for Nurses, opened, September, 1894, a
house for the reception of private patients.

fliSS Alston's long and thorough experience will insure the best
of nursing and general supervision for those who are in her charge.
Great attention will be paid to the careful and appetizing preparation and
serving of the food.

The house is supplied with an operating room fitted up with all the
appliances for modern surgery. There is a skylight, also a good side-
light ; an elevator large enough to convey the patients to and from the
operating room, and all the requisite requirements of a house of the
kind.

All classes of cases, male and female (including maternity cases) will
be received, excepting those suffering from contagious diseases or insanity.

Patients will be entirely in charge of their own physician, no house
officer being in attendance.

The house will be open the entire year.

A registry for nurses has been opened and physicians and private
families will be furnished with capable nurses.

Dressings for aseptic surgery furnished to surgeons at moderate rates
for private practice.
