and afterward captain, 7 Nov.,
1774; the company was ordered
to meet at Capt. Page's house,
" it is expected that all true
sons of liberty will meet at the
time and place aforesaid."

Porter, Moses (General),
Helped work one of the guns
at Bunker Hill. Enl. in Grid-
ley's Artillery, Capt. Thos.
Foster's Co. ; and served dur-
ing the siege of Boston, was
promoted Lt. in 1780, and
through various grades in the
Artillery, until he was head
of that arm of the service. He
was wounded during the Rev-
olution. After the war he
served with Wayne in the
Indian campaign, and com-
manded the artillery during
the war of 1812. Breveted for
distinguished service, 10 Sept.,
1813. He died while still in the
service at Cambridge, in 1822,
and is buried in Danvers.
