letters from Washington in possession of the family. He was

Bray Wilkins, Jr., in 1776, served as a private in Capt. Timothy
Clements' company, Col. David Gilman's Massachusetts regi-
ment, and, 1778, in Capt. William Boyes' company of volun-
teers in the Rhode Island expedition. He was born, 1755, in
Middletown, Mass. ; died in Hollis, N. H.
