John Ross (1730- 1802) enlisted, 1777, as a private in Capt. John
Ramsey's company, Chester County, Pennsylvania militia. He
was born and died in Oxford, Pa.

James Patterson (1745-1825) enlisted, 1776, as a private in Capt.
Thomas Whiteside's company, Col. Thomas Porter's battalion,
Lancaster County, Pennsylvania militia. He was born and
died in Lancaster County.

Zenas Macomber (1754-1831) enlisted, 1775, and served in the
Commander-in-Chief's Guard at White Plains, Trenton,
Brandywine, Germantown, and Monmouth. He was severely
wounded at Tappan ; taken prisoner, when exchanged rejoined
his regiment. He died in York County, Pa.

months' service as private in Massachusetts Line. He was
born and died in Taunton, Mass.

guard duty in Tryon County. In 1832 his pension was al-
lowed for six months as quartermaster and six months as
sergeant. He was born in Schenectady ; died in Montgomery
County, N. Y.

Rial Bingham served as sergeant, 1778, in Capt. John Ensign's
company, Connecticut militia. He was ensign in the New
York Levies, 1782, and received land bounty as lieutenant.
He was born. 1755. in Windham, Conn.

1776, and served during the Revolution. He was born in
New Hampshire ; died in East Machias, Me.

Daniel McKie (i 759-1839) enlisted in Capt. Joseph Wynn's
company and was at the battle of Stono. He was appointed
second lieutenant, but when he applied for a pension in 1834,
Maury County, Tenn., it was granted for eight months' serv-
ice as private, Virginia Line. The widow's pension was re-
fused as there was no record in South Carolina to prove
marriage. He was born in Lunenburg County, Va. ; died in
Maury County, Tenn.

William Haymond (1740-1821) commanded the Monongalia
County militia. 1776, and promoted major by Gov. Benjamin
Harrison, 1781. He was elected to the Assembly to admin-
ister the oath of allegiance to the males of Harrison County.
He was born in Maryland ; died in Virginia.

Peter Morgan (17 13-86) enlisted, 1776, as a private in the 3rd
battalion, Col. Sage's regiment, Wadsworth brigade, engaged
at the battle of White Plains. He was born and died in Nor-
wich, Conn.

Zedekiah Morgan (1 744-1822) served in the Quartermaster's
