Richard Pitkin (1739-99) was a minute man from Hartford at
the Lexington Alarm. He served under Capt. Timothv
Cheney in the 5th company. Col. Erastus Wolcott's regiment,
at the siege of Boston. He was born and died in East Hart-
ford. Conn.

Christopher Huntington ( 1766-1821 ) enlisted in Capt. Squire
Hill's company, Col. Samuel McLellan's regiment, under Gen.
Sullivan, in Rhode Island, 1778. He was born and died in
Bozrah, Conn.

ham, Mass.

Clement Pennell (1751-1835) enlisted, 1776, in Capt. Tobias
Lord's company and, 1777-79, served in Capt. Daniel Lane's
company, Colonel Brooks' regiment, Continental Army. He
was born in Falmouth, Maine ; died in Gray.

the Council of Safety. He lived on land granted his father,

dependence.
