in New York.

at Ticonderoga, and same year enlisted under Captain Waters,
New York Line, to defend the Hudson. In 1832 he received
a pension for 15 months' actual service as private. He was
born in Middletown, Conn. ; died in New Berlin, N. Y.

Samuel Wrisley (1760-1837) enlisted, 1776, at Glastonbury and
was at Long Island, White Plains, and Jersey campaign, under
Capt. Samuel Wright, Col. Samuel Wyllys. In 1778 he en-
listed as teamster for one year and in six months was ap-
pointed conductor of teamsters. In 1832 he applied for a
pension and it was allowed for conductor of teams. He was
born and died in Connecticut.

Northern Army under Capt. Benjamin Nye, 1777. He served

under Capt. Phineas Parker, 1780. He was born and died

in Barre, Mass.

Samuel Low (1752-1839) enlisted at seventeen in Capt. Benja-
min Myer's company, Stark's brigade. He received a pension
for six months' service. He was born in Massachusetts and
is buried at Shrewsbury, Vt.

Josiah Bacon (1719-75) served as sergeant in Capt. John Black's
company, Col. Jonathan Brewer's regiment at Bunker Hill,
where he was killed. His name heads the list on the slab at
Charlestown of those who fell from Massachusetts.

Oliver Harding (1756-1838) was placed on the pension roll of
Steuben County, New York, 1818, for service as private, New
York Line. He was born in Connnecticut ; died in Fremont,
Steuben County, N. Y.
Samuel Crafts (1722-91) enlisted, 1780, as a private under Col.
Zebulon Butler in the 2nd Connecticut regiment. He was
born and died in Pomfret, Conn.

Benjamin Jones served as a private in Capt. Garrett Ackerson's
company, Hay's regiment, New York militia. In 1781 he
served in Capt. Abraham Westfall's company, Col. Albert
Pawling's regiment. He was born in 1724; lived in Cherry
Valley, N. Y., and his daughter, Elizabeth, was taken prisoner
by the Indians when she was 12 years of age.

Ebenezer Grover (1747- 1803) served at the Lexington Alarm in
Capt. Robert Oliver's company of minute men, Col. Samuel
Williams' regiment. He was born and died in Montague,
Mass.
Griffin Crafts (1748-1835)^ patriot, rendered valuable service
to the town of Pomfret, where he was born. He died in
Craftstown, N. Y.

Nicholas Diehl (1743- 18 19) commanded a battery at the battle
of Long Island. In 1777 he commanded a company of Foot,
3rd battalion of militia, and, 1780-81, served in the Volunteer
Light Horse under Col. Caleb Davis. He was born in Ger-
many.
