born and died in Bath, Me.

ton Alarm. In 1777 served as lieutenant in Captain Hesley's
company, and later as major in the 5th Worcester County
regiment. He was born in Oxford, Mass. ; died in Charlton.

Adam Brevard served as a private in the Revolutionary War
and was at the battle of Ramseur's Mill.

Richard Springs (1754-1833) was placed on the pension roll of
Mecklenburg County, 183 1, for service as private, lieutenant,
and captain, North Carolina militia. He was born at Jones
Neck, Del. ; died in Mecklenburg County, N. C.

Benjamin Smith (1 760-1836) turned out from Temple for the
relief of Boston and served under Capt. Philip Putnam at the
battle of White Plains. He enlisted, 1777, in the Continental
Army for three years and was left sick in New York when
the regiment roll was taken at Valley Forge, 1778. He died
at Belmont, Me.
