as sergeant in Capt. Nathaniel Cudworth's company, Col.
Abijah Pierce's regiment, promoted lieutenant in Capt. Caleb
Brooks company, Col. Nicholas Dike's regiment, and, in 1778,
commanded a company in Col. Thomas Poor's regiment at
North river. He was born in Sudbury ; died in Framingham,
Mass.
Uriah Howard (1763-1845) served as a private in Capt. Samuel
Paine's company, New Hampshire State Troops for the de-
fense of the Western frontiers, under Maj. Benjamin Whit-
comb. He was born in Hebron, Conn. ; died in Phillips, Me.
Zebulon True (1 765-1830) enlisted, 1782, for three years under
Capt. Christopher Marshall, and Col. Joseph Vose, at West
Point, where he was discharged. In 1818 he applied for a
pension, and in 1843 ms widow was allowed a pension for
eighteen months' actual service as private, Massachusetts Line.
