Lucy Barnard, wife of Simon, was a daughter of Nathan and Batlislieha
(Hayward-Simonds) Simnnds. and was born Sept. 27, 1790. Her Iiusbaud
was a native of Maine. Her In-otlier, Xatlian Simonds, while a student at
Harvard, was drowned in Fresh Pond. (See Johnson's Genealogical
Sketch of William Simonds.;

said to have come from Maine. She was an aunt of Simon Barnard
(epitaph olu). Tlie stone to Elizabeth Kendall is not now (1890) in
the yard.

Samuel Cutter, born Sept. 7, 17S5, sou of James and Catherine (Ben-
jamin ) Cutter. His fatlier was a native of Menoton\y (now Arlington),
but died in Jalfrey. X. H. (f/''e notice of Samuel Cutter in History of
Cutter Family, 24^). This stone iias been removed to the cemetery on
Salem Street.

Stephen Skinner, a son of Abraham and Sally (Johnson) Skinner, says
that he was born in Woburn, June 24, 1818, and that his father, Abraham,
*vas also, althoui^h their births are not on the recoi'ds. He says his
mother was a dau<i:hter of John Johnson, and she was born in Leicester or
Andover. His grandfather, Abraham, married twice, and each wife was a
Brooks. He himself was born in the old Brooks house, at corner of Main
Street and Lake Avenue.

" Not love or friendship could his life ensure.
Nor blooming youth, or strength, or health secure.
Our brother dear, from an untimely end.

Samuel Gardner, of Charlestown, and Widow Catherine Kichardson, of
Woburn, were married May 26, 17'J9. She died in 1842 (epitaph o07).
The locality of hi.s residence was, first, in the limits of Charlestown ; next,
ill West Cambridge Tnow Arlington) ; and lastly, in Winciiester. He was
born March 4, 1770; sou of Henry and Dorothy. (Wyman's Charlestown,
400.)

(352^.) " Mrs. Polly French, died Dec.' 10, 1858, ^^t. 78 yrs.

"Having faithfully attended her parents, and only Sister, in thei'e de-
clining years, her kind heart won many friends to sooth her dying pillow,
and mourn her loss."

married Abiah (Abiel) French, " of Tewksbury," Sept. 7, 1809.

1764. She was a widow for 63 years.
