Berkshire County Council.
Road Materials.
The Berkshire County Council ask for
tenders for the supply of Broken Road
Materials for the twelve months ending
March 31, 1909, delivered at railway
stations and wharves in the county.

On the receipt of a stamped addressed
foolscap envelope, forms of tender, list
of stations and wharves, and full parti-
cnlars will be forwarded by the County
Surveyor.

Tenders, endorsed " Tender for Mate-
rials." to be sent to the undersigned by
the ist of January, 1908.

The contractor will be required, if his
tender be accepted, to enter into a con-
tract, to be prepared by the County
Solicitor, such contract, if thought desir-
able by the Solicitor, to provide for two
sureties. A specimen form of contract
may be seen at the office of the Clerk of
the County Council, 28, The Forbury,
Reading.

Tenders arc invited for the supply and
delivery at Leighton Buzzard (L.N.W.R.)
of about 190 tons of 4-in. and 3-in. Cast-
iron Pipes, Cast-iron Well Cylinders,
Specials, and other works.

Specification and bill of quantities
may be obtained from the Engineers.
Messrs. Sands & Walker, Milton Cham^
bers, Nottingham, on payment of two
guineas (by cheque), which will be
returned on receipt of a bona-fide tender
and the return, by the contractors, to the
engineers, of all documents entrusted to
them within 14 davs of the notice in-
forming them a tender has been accepted.
The successful contractor will be re-
quired to enter into a bond, with ap-
proved sureties, for the due performance
of his contract.

Sealed and endorsed tenders to be sent
to the undersigned on or before Thursday,
January 9, 1908.
