appointed by the Board of Trade to make Enquiries wUh Reference
to the PaHieipation of Oreat Britain in Qreat International Exhibir
tions. [Cd. 8,772.] Price 7d.

In view of the evidence the Committee consider it to be of the
first importance that an improved machinery should be set up to
secure a more prompt consideration of invitations to take part in
exhibitions and a more effective representation of this country at
any exhibition in which H.M. Government decide to take part. To
obtain these objects it is essential that continuity of organization
from exhibition to exhibition should be provided for, and with this
end in view the Committee recommend that a special officer should
be attached to one of the departments of the Board of Trade as the
officer specially concerned with exhibition work, and that he should
be primarily responsible for the proper organization, conduct and
winding-up of all exhibitions.
