Rural District of Calstor.
The District Council invites tenders
for the Construction of New Waterworks
at Caistor, Lincolnshire, consisting of
pumping station, with machinery com-
plete, covered service reservoir and dis-
tribution mains.

Plans cai^ be seen, and copies of the
conditions of contract, specification, bUl
of quantities, list of day-work, prices and
form of tender, can be obtained on pay-
ment of £$ (which will be returned on
receipt of a bona-fidc tender) at the
offices of the Council, at Caistor, or at
the offices of the Engineer, Mr. E. J.
Silcock,M.iN8T.c.«.,at Sanctuary House,
u, Tothill-street, Westminster, and at
lo. Park-row, Leeds.

CuRisTiANiA, January 10.— Steel Rails.
— In connexion with the announcement
issued by the Commercial Intelligence
Branch of the Board of Trade on Octo-
ber ag, respecting a call for tenders for
supply to the Norwegian State Railways
of 4,55a tons of steel rails, the Commercial
Intelligence Branch are now notified by
His Majesty's Consul at Christiania
that the time limit for the delivery of
these tenders has been extended from
November 13 to January 10, 1908.

Road Materials.

The Berkshire County Council ask for
tenders for the supply of Broken Road
Materials for the twelve months ending
March 31, 1909, delivered at railway
stations and wharves in th^ count>'.

On the receipt of a stamped addressed
foolscap envelope, forms of tender, list
of stations and wharves, and full parti-
cnlars will be forwarded by the County
Surveyor.

Tenders, endorsed " Tender for Mate-
rials," to be sent to the undersigned by
the ist of January, 190S.

The contractor will be required, if his
tender be accepted, to enter into a con-
tract, to be prepared by the County
Solicitor, such contract, if thought desir-
able by the Solicitor, to provide for two
sureties. A specimen form of contract
may be seen at the office of the Clerk of
the County Council, 28, The Forbury,
Reading.

Wing Rural District Council.

.Tenders are invited for the supply and
delivery at Lelghton Bazzard (L.N.W.R.)
of about 190 tons of 4-ln. and 3-in. Cast-
iron Pipes, Cast-Iron Well Cylinders,
Specials, and other works.

Specification and bill of quantities
may be obtained from the Engineers,
Messrs. Sands & Walker, Milton Cham-
bers, Nottingham, on payment of two
guineas (by cheque), which will be
returned on receipt of a bona-tide tender
and the return, by the contractors, to the
Engineers, of all documents entrusted to
them within 14 days of the notice in-
forming them a tender has been accepted.

The successful contractor will be re-
quired to enter into a bond, with ap-
proved sureties, for the due performance
of his contract.

Sealed and endorsed tenders to be sent
to the undersigned on or before Thursday,
