.. (094) Jonas on 13II0V1826 purchased 18 acres in a track called 'White Oak Flat' on
Dunkard Creek, Dunkard Twp. , Greene Co. , PA from his brother, Joshua Jr. , for $100. The
18 acres represented Joshua Jr.'s inheritance from his father.

On 6DEC1836, Jonas & Jane Hunt sold 72 acres & buildings in 'White Oak Flat' to Lewis
Gapen of Monongalia Co., VA for $1,000. This was probably in preparation to their move
to Monongalia County.

..1840 Census, John 4 Michael's families living in Dubuque County, Iowa. Cornelius may be
living with John's family & James with Michael's family because the census enumerates an
older man in each family. Both came to Iowa around 1838.

'..James & Cornelius had farmed the same farm in Concorde Township valued at $6,000 in
1870 Census. Evidently 700 acres was in Cornelius's name because a legal battle
developed among claimants upon death of Cornelius.

. . (145) Catharina Duhrkop may not have been of the Giilzow area because there are few
Duhrkops mentioned in the records. One clue to other relatives is the Christian Duhrkop
who was a godfather for Johann Christian(144-1) at his baptism(other g/parents: Joh.
