. . (190-5) James Jr. was 85 years, 1 month, St 1 day old at death.

f

Seaton, James (Continued) #19»-C

..1832 Clayton County Iowa History refers to Jona's Hunt's wife as 'Jane Seaton*. James
Seaton a Mary Clark seem to be the most logical parents of Jane Seaton. This is based on
Jonas 4 Jane Hunt (see #094):

-laming one daughter 'Mary Clark' after Jane's mother.

-Jonas Hunt naming James Seaton Jr. (190-5) as co-administrator of his will.

-Thomas Prather Seaton was a witness to Jonas' s will.

-A Janet mentioned in Jame's Seaton Sr.'s will(Jane from Janet).

-The Janet Hewitt mentioned in will is a transcription error 4 should be 'Hunt'.

..As was German custom, sons all bore same first name after father, but used middle nans.
..(320) Johann Lorentz arrived Philadelphia, PA. 27AUG1739 aboard the ship 'Samuel' from
Rotterdam via Deal, England a took the Oath of Allegiance to British Empire same day. He
was taxed in 1754 while living in Bern Twp. , Berks County. He seems to have used
Lawrence 4 dropped Johann.
. . (320-2) Anna Marie also arrived with parents & took her oath the same day.

Hentzel (Hansel) , Johann Lorentz (Continued) #320-B

. . (320-3) John Philip appeared in the 1759 & 1758 Tax list for Windsor Twp. in Berks Co.

PA as owning 50 acres. His children were baptized at the Windsor Castle Church in Berks

County. He was naturalized as a citizen of the British Empire St Pennsylvania

5APS1752 (Annapolis KD) . Sometime around 1775 he seems to have moved to Augusta County,

Virginia and there on 15MAY1781 he purchased 185 acres 'on the Middle River of

Shanandoah' from Alexander Kirk. On 16M51786 he deeded this land to sons, Lawrence 4

George. Lawrence may be the same one who appears in 1800 Lincoln Co. KY Census & father,

John Philip, may have accompanied him. Both George St Lawrence served in the militia in

1782 at Ft. Dinwiddle & Ft. Warwick for three months under Capt. McKitrick.

. . (320-4) John Casper Harden mentions that 1783 York County PA tax records mention a

Philip Heltzel & a Tobias Heltzel (Paradise Twp.) & believed their name should have been

spelled Hentzel & are probable sons. John Casper Jr. was baptized at St. Peter's Church

in Richmond Twp. of Berks County PA i died in Mannheim Twp. of York County PA. In 1776,

John Casper Sr. S wife Catherine appear on the list of communicants of Christ

citizens of Paradise Twp. requesting that the Mill on Big Connawago Creek be ordered to
put a flood gate in its dam to allow fish up the creek.
