TOWN WARRANT

THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

To the Inhabitants of the Tovjn of Lee, in the County
of Strafford in said Sta.te, qualified to vote in Toivn
Affairs: (L. S.)

You are hereby notified to meet at the Town Hall
in said Lee on Tuesday, the eleventh day of March,
next at ten of the clock in the forenoon, to act upon the
following subjects :

1. To choose all necessary Town Officers for the
year ensuing.

2. To raise such sums of money as may be neces-
sary to defray town charges for the ensuing year and
make appropriations of the same.

3. To raise and appropriate such sum_s of money
as may be necessary for the maintenance of highways.

4. To see if the Tov/n will vote to raise and appro-
priate the sum of two hundred dollars ($200.00) for
fire protection.

5. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
priate the sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for
Old Age Assistance and Relief.

6. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
priate the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00)
for Lee Hook Road. The state to contribute balance to
finish the road.



7. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
priate the sum of five hundred forty-five dollars and
seventy-nine cents ($545.79) for the construction of
Class V highways under the provisions of the T. R. A.,
so called. The state will contribute the sum of three
thousand six hundred thirty-eight dollars and fifty-
seven cents ($3,638.57).

8. To see if the Town will vote to replace the bridge
over Little River on the Tuttle Road with State Bridge
Aid, and make appropriation for same.

9. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
priate the sum of five hundred ($500.00) to be depos-
ited with the Town Trustees of the Trust Fund as a
capital reserve for equipment for the Fire Depart-
ment,

10. To raise and appropriate for the economic ad-
vancement of the Town through publicity and pro-
motional services of the Seacoast Regional Develop-
ment Association, in cooperation with other regional
communities, a sum not exceeding one one-hundredth
of one per cent of assessed valuation, namely fifty-five
dollars ($55.00).

11. To see what sum of money the Town will vote
to raise and appropriate for the Fire Department.

12. To see what sum of money the Town will vote
to raise and appropriate for the care of the Town
Dump.

13. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
priate the sum of approximately two thousand nine



hundred dollars ($2,900.00) to defray the cost of its
share of the Strafford County Government.

14. To see if the Town will vote to request the State
Tax Commission to reappraise improved lands and
buildings in order to equalize all assessments within
the Town on a proportional basis, and to raise and ap-
propriate the sum of two thousand five hundred dollars
($2,500.00) for this purpose.

15. (Petitioned by J. Derek Seeley and nine others,
registered voters of the Town of Lee.)

That the Town grant permission to prepare and
use a tract of land, bordered by Route 155 and the
Dump Road, as a Town Park and Recreation area. It
can be developed into an attractive area that the Town
can be proud of, and which both children and adults
can use for communal enjoyment. Said tract of land
to be dedicated as a Town Park for Lee.

16. To see if the Town, through the Fire Depart-
ment will accept the lease of one acre of land and a
thirty foot right of w^ay on Wednesday Hill on the land
of George LaRoche for fire look-out purposes only ; and
to see if the Town will assume responsibility if tower
is erected.

17. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
priate the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for
a gate and fence at the end of the Dump Road.

18. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the
selectmen to hire money in anticipation of taxes.



19. To transact any other business that may legally
come before the meeting.
