connection with service of said Willson, probably for the purpose of securing
his claim for back pay or a pension ; said Willson declares that he enlisted in
June or July, 1781, into a company commanded by Capt. Thomas Francis,
Col. Tupper's (10th) regt.; that when the Continental regiments were con-
solidated he was transferred to a company commanded by Capt. Mason Wattles
in 6th Mass. regt. ; that subsequently he was transferred to a company com-
manded by Capt. Michael G. Hudang (Houdin), Col. Sprout's (2d) regt., and
that he served continuously as above stated until Oct. or Nov., 1783, when he
was discharged at West Point, N. Y.
